Himalayan cedar essential oil is important in the cosmetic and perfume industries and is widely used in soap fragrances in India and Nepal as it is believed to kill unwanted microorganisms and fungi [1]. Has a soothing effect on the skin, recommended for damaged, reddened and irritated skin [2]. This essential oil has no restrictions according to IFRA recommendations when used in cosmetics, so it can be used pure on a small area, ensuring that it does not cause an individual allergic reaction.

Himalayan cedar essential oil can be used as an additive to cosmetics for acne and pimples, as well as hair care for dandruff.

Himalayan cedar oil contains many specific monoterpenes, which are attributed to the anti-fungal effects observed in studies with some plant phytofungi. The effective concentration starts with just 1 drop per liter of homogeneous solution.

Himalayan cedar essential oil is noted for its insecticidal properties in regions of its natural distribution, where it is applied to the feet of horses, cows and other animals to ward off flies and other insects.
