Nutmeg oil

Ingredients: myristica fragrans oil (100% pure nutmeg essential oil).

Origin: Indonesia.

Method of extraction: the essential oil is obtained by steam distillation from fruits of nutmeg Myristica fragrans.

Aroma: specific, warm, herbal and spicy.

Nutmeg essential oil is recommended for massage mixtures for a relaxing massage due to it’s muscle-relaxing property [1]. Because of the same fact, this oil is also suitable for anti-wrinkle mixtures for mature skin care. Applications with this oil helps reduce the visibility of mimic wrinkles. Rejuvenates, tightens the aged skin.

The content of this essential oil in cosmetic products is limited and it is not recommended to exceed 0.04% in non-washable products. The recommended content of nutmeg oil in eye care products is not more than 0.02%.

Nutmeg oil has strong antioxidant properties, it protects other oils from oxidation and prolongs their shelf life [2].

Nutmeg oil protects the skin from vasodilation and new formation [2].

Nutmeg essential oil has a wonderful peculiar spicy scent and is therefore highly valued in perfumery. It is an ingredient in many luxury perfumes and can certainly be favorite ingredient in your aromatic blends for home fragrance.

In aromatherapy, the smell of nutmeg oil is valued for its warming effect, soothes nervous tremors and tremors from the cold, increases the brightness of the perception of the world.

Usage:
✓ for skin and hair care – mix 1 drop of essential oil with 15 g of base (almond, grape seeds or other carrier oil)
✓ for skin care around the eyes – mix 1 drop of essential oil with 30 g of base
✓ for massage oil – mix 1 drop of essential oil with 15 g of base
✓ for bath – mix 1 drop of essential oil with 1 tablespoon of milk, honey or sea salt, add to warm water and allow dissolve. Soak in the tub for 10-15 min.
