Ingredients: origanum vulgare oil (100% pure organic oregano essential oil).

Method of extraction: the essential oil is obtained by steam distillation from aerial part of oregano Origanum vulgare.

Aroma: spicy, herbaceous, sharp and warm.

Oregano essential oil is rich in two powerful compounds called carvacrol and thymol, both of which have been shown in studies to have strong anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. Therefore, this essential oil is one of the favorites in the medicine [1]. Its antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties have been the focus of over 800 studies referenced.

Oregano essential oil is strong antioxidant. It helps in preventing aging by scavenging of free radicals and reducing of oxidative damage. Regular usage of oregano oil in cosmetics helps to keep the skin flexible and elastic for longer [2].

Oregano essential oil has activity against the bacteria Propionibacterium acnes and Staphylococcus epidermis, and it can improve the acne-affected skin condition, and is therefore recommended for acne prone skin care [3]. To prepare the remedy for acne, dilute 1 drop of oregano essential oil in teaspoon of grape seed oil and apply to the affected area. Oregano oil helps to improve the condition of damaged skin, soothes and restores the structure of the skin [4].

Very often mature skin can be affected by pigment spots due to increased melanin synthesis. Oregano essential oil successfully helps to fight with such hyperpigmentation, it reduces the production of melanin in the epidermis, smooths out skin color. Mixtures with oregano oil lightens the skin easily reducing the visibility of fine wrinkles [5].

Oregano oil is suitable for oily skin and scalp care to reduce sebum production.

Usage:
✓ for skin and hair care – mix 2-3 drops of pure oregano essential oil with 10-15 g of base (eg base oil – almonds, jojoba, etc.)
✓ for massage oil against cellulite – mix 1-2 drops of essential oil with 10 g of base
✓ In case of acne – mix 3-5 drops of essential oil with 10 g of base
✓ for the bath – mix 4-5 drops of essential oil with 1 tablespoon of milk, honey or sea salt, add to warm water and allow dissolve. Soak in the tub for 10-15 min.
