Sea buckthorn oil (pure)

Ingredients: hippophae rhamnoides fruit oil (unrefined 100% pure organic sea buckthorn oil).
Origin: Germany.
Method of extraction: sea buckthorn oil is extracted from the fruits of the sea buckthorn Hippophae rhamnoides by cold pressing. Our oil is high quality, pure and undiluted, with a carotenoid content of 180-270 mg%.

Even in the oldest Tibetan treatise were listed the amazing properties of sea buckthorn. The ancient Greek physician Dioscorides also mentioned in his works preparations with sea buckthorn, which were recommended for stomach diseases. In folk medicine, this oil is widely used for wounds, damaged skin, skin cracks, blackheads, thermal and chemical burns.

Sea buckthorn oil is rich in linoleic and linolenic acids (omega-3 and omega-6) triglycerides, which are essential in synthesis of our skin lipids to maintain a protective skin barrier and slow the evaporation of water from the skin surface. As we age or due to some diseases, the synthesis of these lipids in our skin slows down and the skin becomes drier and the stratum corneum thinner. Omega-3 and -6 acids, by accelerating lipid production in the skin, strengthen the lipid barrier of the epidermis, protect the skin from water loss and normalize skin metabolism. People with acne-prone skin also have a decrease in the amount of these fatty acids, which impairs skin regeneration processes, clogs pores and causes comedones or scaling. Sea buckthorn oil cleans pores and reduces the number of comedones, as well as improves the condition of the skin in the presence of dry scaly skin, dermatitis or psoriasis.

Sea buckthorn oil is distinguished not only by the composition of active substances but also by their extremely high amount. Among them are detected more than 40 carotenoids of various structures that promote collagen production, sterols and vitamin E, which regulate the inflammatory process. These substances are very important in maintaining the condition of the skin in case of damaged skin and wounds.

Sea buckthorn oil contains rarely found in the plant world palmitoleic fatty acid, which reduces the production of melanin (a skin pigment) in the skin. Therefore, it is a good remedy for pigment spots. Masks with sea buckthorn oil lighten the skin a little, reducing the visibility of wrinkles. This oil can be used to prevent premature skin aging.
